My laboratory utilizes synthetic biology and chemical genetics to study innate immunity’s role in the pathogenesis of autoinflammatory disease. In particular, given phosphorylation and ubiquitination’s prominent role in innate immune signaling, we want to understand how these post-translational mechanisms go awry in autoinflammatory disease and whether this knowledge can be used for clinical gain.
