Robert Doebele is Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Medical Oncology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO. He joined the University of Colorado in 2008 as a member of the thoracic malignancies program. Dr. Doebele earned his AB in Molecular Biology from Princeton University and earned his MD/PhD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Medical Oncology Fellowship at the University of Chicago. Dr. Doebele’s laboratory studies oncogene-addicted cancers and employs genetic, pharmacologic and proteomic approaches in patient tumor samples and patient-derived and murine cancer models to identify the intrinsic and acquired mechanisms of resistance to targeted therapies. Dr. Doebele was the recipient of the 2013 V Scholar Award from the V Foundation for Cancer Research. He is currently Director of the Thoracic Oncology Research Initiative, co-Director of the Molecular Tumor Board, and co-PI of the Lung Cancer SPORE at the University of Colorado Cancer Center.
