Biographical statement

Dr.  Raychaudhuri is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and an Associate Physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He is also an Associate Member at the Broad Institute, and appointed as Professor in Genetics (part-time) at the University of Manchester. Dr. Raychaudhuri received his B.S (Biophysics) and B.A (Mathematics) from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He completed his MD and PhD degrees as an MSTP fellow at Stanford University, before joining Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 2004. Dr. Raychaudhuri completed his medical internship, residency and fellowship in rheumatology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He concurrently conducted postdoctoral research at the Broad Institute. Since 2010 he has been on the faculty at Harvard University. His research program is focused on deciphering the basis of immune-mediated diseases, and in particular rheumatoid arthritis, tuberculosis, and type I diabetes. His group utilizes strategies in human genetics, human immunology, computational biology to understand the underlying mechanisms behind these conditions.
