Elected 2014

Dr. Milner is chief of the Genetics and Pathogenesis of Allergic Disease Section in the Laboratory of Allergic Diseases at the NIAID. His research centers on the study of patients with genetic diseases associated with allergy and the basic pathophysiologic mechanisms underlying the link between mutations and atopic phenotypes. Specific areas of interest include identification of genetic lesions associated with novel atopic phenotypes such as PLCG2-associated antibody deficiency and immune dysregulation (PLAID) (New England Journal of Medicine 2012), the study of cellular pathways altered in known genetic diseases of allergy such as the hyper-IgE syndrome (Nature 2007, Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology 2013), and the analysis of T cell receptor repertoires and signaling in T cell differentiation and allergic disease.
