Elected 2013

I trained in clinical hemato-oncology as a physician in Germany and had excellent research training with Scott Lowe in Cold Spring Harbor. Since January 2007 I have held a tenure-track position at Sloan-Kettering Institute (SKI). I am interested in the genetics of lymphatic cancers and the functional annotation of genetic changes observed in human lymphoma/leukemia. My lab uses genomic analyses, murine models, primary human tumor grafts, and cell lines, and our long-term goal is the development of new therapies based on genetic and biological insight. My clinical and research training along with the excellent environment at Sloan-Kettering greatly facilitate our ability to develop new treatments for these cancers.
