Our research focuses on the mechanisms by which the vasculature, and in particular the protein C anticoagulant pathway, influences coagulation and inflammation. We also investigate the role of various disease processes in the regulation of the protein C pathway and the ability of modulating this pathway to alter disease progression. Diseases that are of particular interest include atherosclerosis, cancer, autoimmune diseases, diabetes, trauma and sepsis.
