My research has focused on the field of IGF-1 and vascular biology. Our group has conducted extensive studies on the regulation of the IGF-1 receptor and on the biology and regulation of IGF-1 and its receptor in the cardiovascular system. Our studies have included basic science work as well as translational studies that have led to initial insights into changes in the IGF-1 system in patients with cardiovascular diseases. I am particularly interested in studies that bridge basic science, translational science and clinical studies.
