The ASCI Young Investigator Awards

The ASCI Young Investigator Awards program, which was authorized by the ASCI Council for 2007 and 2008, is currently on hold. The program offered one-year grants of $70,000 each to up to five early-career physician-scientists. The Awards were aimed at applicants whose first-time K08 or R01 submissions to the National Institutes of Health were very close to the payline but not funded. The goal of the program was to keep promising young researchers in the academic-medicine pipeline by supporting their work for eventual resubmission to the NIH.
